AP English III
Today in class we began what will be our major project for this quarter - the argumentative research project. Your first check-in for this assignment is due on Friday the 14th. Make sure to meet all the goals of the assignment and be thorough in your approach to all questions.
Be sure to use the Durham County Library online resources for this assignment. Remember that they are connected to only borrowers - so if you don't have a Durham library card be sure to get my number so that you can use mine.
For the week remember to meet the goals of your reading schedule. You have to make it through chapter two by next Tuesday. Also, for tonight I would recommend rereading the key scenes of the grandfather's curse, the battle royal, and the circus dream; we'll discuss these at length next class. Also remember that we will have a timed writing on Friday - it will be an analysis - prepare accordingly.

Since you had a quiz today there is no homework for you all tonight. However, I would recommend that you practice your verbs and conjugation patterns as these will be our focus for the next part of the unit.
