Mr. Miller, do we need to do an outline for the poem analysis project? It's number 5 on the project sheet

Adam - Good question! Don't worry about the outline. All that I need are the analysis log and rough draft from peer editing.

Mr miller would still i rise be considered in the omniscient form of writing?

Anita - It's first person. Omniscient doesn't apply in this situation.

but it's like she says "you" a lot as if she's especially talking to whomever is reading the text...what form of writing is that? because i didn't think it was first person?

Anita - That would be 2nd person. But remember, this isn't a story - it's a poem. The idea is that the speaker is addressing someone, an audience, by telling the reader her story.
