- You'll need to read/annotate "On Compassion" by B. Ascher. You can find this in 50 Essays or at this link.
- You will also need to reread/annotate "Harvest of Shame" and "Work Works" from The Working Poor. As you do this rereading, consider the argument we developed in class today. How can you continue to refine it and clarify it using the data from these chapters?
