Honors students - if you do not have a copy of Romeo and Juliet at home you can use this excerpt to complete your assignment:
ROMEO
O, she doth teach the torches to burn bright!
It seems she hangs upon the cheek of night
Like a rich jewel in an Ethiope's ear;
Beauty too rich for use, for earth too dear!
So shows a snowy dove trooping with crows,
As yonder lady o'er her fellows shows.
The measure done, I'll watch her place of stand,
And, touching hers, make blessed my rude hand.
Did my heart love till now? forswear it, sight!
For I ne'er saw true beauty till this night.
Remember to continue to bring your books to class with you as we will be starting Act II of Romeo and Juliet next class.
Also - remember that if you are absent it is your responsibility to see me to get missing notes or missing work. If you are unprepared for a quiz due to the fact that you didn't get missing notes, I can't help you.
Work on your projects!!!!

mr. miller i see gough's poem on the back but where is shakespeare's that i am supposed to compare it with??
Compare it to Romeo's lines that I've quoted in this post.
ooh okay cool thanks
it's just that one last paragraph on page 86 it doesn't include page 87 right??
I don't know what you're talking about there.
so there is a page 86 and 87 does Gough's poem continue there or does it end on page 86?
Read all of the Gough. Both pages.
Mr. Miller, so I'm kinda confused about the worksheet. We use the back of the sheet for Gough's poem and then we use Romeo's lines. Is Gough's peom the whole back side? And we are supposed to do the workheet in pen right cause we are turning it into the box???
Catie - The Gough is the whole of the back of the worksheet. Read all of it to complete the assignment. And yes, it needs to be done in blue or black ink.
